Frequently Asked Questions

A water bike is a non-motorized, human-powered, bicycle-like watercraft that sits on two pontoons. There is a propeller in the water that gets powered by pedal motion, capable of moving the bike forward and backwards. All you must do is pedal and steer the bike using the handlebars, moving it in the direction you want to go. The faster you pedal, the faster you go!

Yes! All you need to do is pedal and move the handlebar in the desired direction. Our bikes remove the balancing aspect that a traditional bike has, which means anyone can ride and no special skills or abilities are required.

Yes, they are safe, steady, and sturdy. They are being recognized as steadier and sturdier than kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards because of its size and design – they are virtually untippable and unsinkable.

You do not need to have any skills or qualifications to ride with us. No swimming or riding a bike on land is required. The minimum height requirement to ride is 4’8 and the minimum age requirement is 8 years old. Children that do not meet these requirements may sit on the board while their parent or legal guardian rides. Babies and toddlers are not permitted on our bikes.

Please note, anyone under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during their ride, either on a single or tandem water bike.

You are free to go out and explore without limitations within your scheduled time, however, it’s important to keep in mind that you must pedal back to your starting point, so we encourage you to pace yourselves as venturing out too far is not recommended. You are not allowed to swap bikes with another individual during your one-hour ride.
